MICHELLE SIMMONS AWARDED PRIME MINISTER’S PRIZE FOR SCIENCE

Congratulations to Quantum physicist Michelle Simmons who was awarded the Prime Minister's Prize for Science for her pioneering developments in quantum computing. Professor Simmons is director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology at UNSW Sydney, and CEO of the company Silicon Quantum Computing. She's a multi-award-winning scientist, 2018 Australian of the Year, and the subject of a portrait in this year's Archibald Prize.
